Most entries on these pages only contain arrests, charges, or indictments, which may eventually be reduced, dropped, or expunged, and as such, these actors may in fact be innocent in a court of law. - Cornerstone Reformation Ministries, Reedsburg, WI. Kehinde S. Omosebi (religious minister), “arrested for neglecting a child causing death and neglecting a child causing great bodily harm” after forcing a 15-year old to fast for 40 days. Reedsburg PD investigates teen’s death after family’s 40-day fast.
2017
- Unidentified church, Panama City, FL. John Yelton (pastor) charged with “child abuse, false imprisonment and communicating threats after his arrest.” Pastor sought for abuse, imprisonment arrested in P.C.
2016
- Good News Church, Minneapolis, MN. Dong Wook Kim (pastor) arrested for multiple assaults on 12-year old “with 2-by-4 and electrical cord.” Parents of children at center of church child abuse case charged.
2015
- St. Margaret of Cortona Roman Catholic Church, NJ. Kevin Carter (priest) pointed gun at 8-year old at church for being a Dallas Cowboy’s fan saying he was going to shoot him. Priest arrested for allegedly pointing gun at child because he’s a Cowboys fan.
- The Word of Life Christian Church, Chadwicks, NY. Parents Lucas and Deborah Leonard “kicked, whipped, and punched” their two teen sons at the church, killing one of them, for their attempts to leave the church. Parents Sentenced in Beating.
2012
- Heart of Worship Ministry (boy made to dig grave, beat with shovel, pinched with pliers), Corona, CA. Pastor, 2 Men Arrested For Allegedly Kidnapping, Torturing Boy As Discipline.
- Behold the Lamb of God Worship Center, Gretna, LA. Daniel Smith (pastor) arrested for whipping two boys at his church that left marks. Marrero pastor arrested for whipping boys is refusing to discuss punishment.
2010
- Unidentified church, Paradise, CA. Kevin Schatz (biblical discipline) arrested for murder of one child and severe beating of another. CALIFORNIA: Schatz’ sentenced to prison.
- Westside Full Gospel Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC. Wilbert Jamison (Pastor & former police officer) arrested for handcuffing and beating a handcuffed 11-year old son with a belt and “injured his wife.” Pleaded guilty to an Alford plea and resigned as a police officer. [SC] “Resigned” Officer Jamison was left with only 1 of 4 domestic charges: assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
2007
- Calvary Bible Church, Nixa, MO. Michael Vargo (pastor) arrested for child abuse, “knowingly inflicted cruel and inhuman punishment” a female child to whom he is related. Pastor facing child abuse charge resigns.
2001
- House of Prayer, Atlanta, GA. Arthur Allen (pastor) arrested for directing members of his church to “beat their children,” calling it God’s will. Pastor Accused of Child Beatings.
