Most entries on these pages only contain arrests, charges, or indictments, which may eventually be reduced, dropped, or expunged, and as such, these actors may in fact be innocent in a court of law. - Influence Church, Hollywood, CA, Michael Ketterer (worship pastor) arrested for beating wife. Charges were not filed however. He is well-known for placing 5th in America’s Got Talent where he performed as a magician. World Famous Pastor Arrested on Felony Charge for Allegedly Beating His Wife.
- Old Stone Church, East Haven, CT. Ryan Champlin arrested for assaulting his mother. He then taking refuge in a church. ‘Irate’ Pastor Confronts Cops On Video Over Violent Offender.
2017
- Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Indianapolis, IN. Luke W. Reese (priest) arrested. Indianapolis Catholic priest accused of kidnapping, confinement and domestic battery of wife.
- Chosen Generation Ministries, Columbia, MO. Lorenzo Lawson arrested for assault. Local youth director, bishop accused of attacking young woman.
- Sold Out Church, Conway, AR. Michael “Derek” Jones (lead pastor) arrested for assaulting a family member. Pastor facing more charges.
- Greater St. Luke Baptist Church, Columbia, SC. Michael Henry Baker (senior pastor) arrested for injuries to his wife. Bond set for Columbia pastor charged with domestic violence.
2016
- Light of the World Christian Center, Topeka, KS. Greg Varney (pastor) arrested for aggravated assault of his daughter. Kidney failure blamed for arrested pastor’s uncharacteristic behavior.
- First United Methodist Church, Algona, IA. Jeffrey Frese (former pastor) arrested for strangulation during domestic abuse.
- Body of Christ Church, Milan, TN. Edward Lewis (pastor) arrested for “physical altercation” with his girlfriend, which began with an argument at the church. Milan pastor arrested on domestic violence charge.
2015
- Good Shepherd Freewill Baptist Church, West Pea Ridge, WV. Jason C. Black (pastor) arrested for “beating his wife” and threatening to kill her. Local pastor charged with domestic assault.
- Lighthouse Church, Montgomery, AL. Mickey Kirkland (senior pastor) arrested for second degree domestic violence “and a probation violation.” Montgomery pastor, former gubernatorial candidate arrested.
- Friendship Baptist Church, Columbia, SC. Anthony A. Dicks (pastor) arrested for domestic violence. Bond set for Columbia pastor, funeral home owner arrested in domestic dispute.
2014
- First Baptist Church, Lufkin, TX. Andrew Pittman (pastor) arrested for striking his wife and pushing her into a door. Lufkin Pastor Arrested for Domestic Violence.
- Fellowship Baptist Church, Vacaville, CA. Mark Lewis (pastor) arrested for “firebombing his ex-girlfriend’s house.” Vacaville Pastor Accused Of Arson, Domestic Violence, To Appear In Court Tuesday.
- New Bethel Baptist Church, Framingham, MA. Timothy P. Jones (pastor) arrested for hitting his girlfriend “with a fist and open hand” and several other charges. Framingham pastor accused of beating girlfriend.
- Hydesville Community Church, Hydesville, CA. Jeff Beltz (associate pastor) arrested for “inflicting corporal injury on a spouse.” He is alleged to have struck his wife in the parking lot of the church, hard enough to break her glasses. - Creflo Dollar (pastor) charged “simple battery, family violence and child cruelty.” World Changers Church International, Atlanta, GA. Megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar on his daughter: ‘She was not punched’.
- St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Delray Beach, FL. Howard Barr (pastor) arrested for domestic battery against his wife. Supporters of pastor arrested for domestic violence hold prayer vigil in Delray Beach.
- Baypoint Community Church, Texas City, TX. Robert Kenneth Gass (pastor) arrested for pushing his girlfriend from an SUV. Rev. Bobby Gass: That Cocaine Wasn’t Mine — I Found It in the Church Parking Lot!
- Grace Church, Windham ME. Kendall Libby (pastor) arrested for domestic violence. Pastor Arrested On Domestic Violence Assault Charge.
- Second Baptist Church, Memphis, TN. Reginald Taylor (pastor) arrested for attacking his wife. Second Baptist pastor charged with domestic violence.
- Church of the End Times, Uxbridge, MA. Dennis H. Stanley (pastor) refused being served with a restraining order by police. He was also “charged with violating an abuse prevention order and resisting arrest.” Uxbridge Police arrest End Times Church pastors in domestic standoff.
2011
- Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA. Jeffrey L. Reaves Sr. (senior pastor) arrested for slapping, kicking, pushing, and dragging his daughter in a domestic violence incident. Petersburg pastor charged in domestic incident.
- Arbeka Indian Baptist Church, Okemah, OK. Marvin James Lowe (pastor) convicted of domestic abuse. Jury finds Weleetka pastor not guilty on nine counts of lewd molestation.
2010
- Community of Faith Church, Houston, TX. James Wallace Dixon (arrested) for domestic violence toward his estranged wife. N. Houston pastor charged with domestic violence.
- Restoration and Faith Ministry, Newport News, VA. Thurman Randolph Leonard (pastor) arrested for assault of a “female family member.” Newport News Pastor arrested on assault charges.
- New Life Church, Chicago, IL. Michael J. Agnello (pastor) charged with domestic battery against his girlfriend, throwing her to “the floor several times.” Talk radio’s Agnello charged in domestic violence incident.

- Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Daphne, AL. David Harrison (pastor) arrested for domestic violence in the third degree. Local Pastor Arrested for Domestic Violence.
2007
- First Baptist Church, Alpharetta, GA. Jeff Witcher (pastor) was arrested for simple assault for pulling hair, and obstructing a call to 911. Southern Baptist Pastor Charged With Domestic Violence.
- Madison Mission Seventh Day Adventist Church, Huntsville, AL. James Doggette (pastor) arrested for domestic violence. Pastor charged with domestic violence.
- Unidentified church, Boise, ID. Saeed Abedini (pastor) arrested for domestic battery against his wife who had helped free him from captivity by the Iranian government. Abedini domestic violence incident in 2007 triggered by laptop argument.
1994
- Unaffiliated with a church, but later began his own ministry with a nonprofit. Angelo Valdes (minister) arrested for domestic battery against his wife, but “later found not guilty” when she “failed to appear in court.” Saving lives, and souls, his way.
1992
- Jonathan Bell Ministries, Dallas, TX. Jonathan Bell (television evangelist) arrested for aggravated assault. Screaming Boy: The Twisted story of Rev. Jonathan Bell.
1983
- Koinonia and Christian Ministries, Paterson, NJ. Edward Fairley (pastor) arrested for stabbing his wife (“aggravated assault, kidnapping, armed burglary and weapons possession”). Pastor arrested for attempted murder in stabbing of fellow minister.
